Our Health Guarantee

At Hopeful Tails Rescue Sanctuary, we place the highest priority on the health and well-being of every Rescue Rescue pet we offer. Each Rescue pet undergoes a thorough health screening by a licensed veterinarian before joining your family. We provide transparent documentation of vaccinations and health records, ensuring your new companion begins life with you in peak health. Our health guarantee includes coverage for genetic disorders, reflecting our commitment to breeding healthy Rescue pets and giving you peace of mind. For more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We take pride in the fact that our relationship with you does not end when you take home a Rescue pet from us. As a conscientious breeder, experienced Rescue pet counsellors, and die-hard Rescue pet lovers, we’d like to believe nothing can ever go wrong with our Rescue pet’s. However, certain things are never in our control. A Rescue pet’s health is dependent on a lot of factors like genetics, exercise, food & nourishment and overall care.

If something does go wrong, we always strive to help, oftentimes even when our guarantee doesn’t cover it. While we may not be able to guarantee that your Rescue pet will never have a health problem, we guarantee that we will do our best to ensure your new family member is a healthy one!

We do not believe your pet is replaceable, but we do believe that sometimes the pain can be lessened in the company of another furry friend. In the unlikely event of the death of a Rescue pet within two years from its birth due to genetics, or if the pet is found to have congenital or hereditary disorders (within two years) which adversely affects the health of your Rescue pet, we will replace the pet with another of equivalent value at no cost to you. The cause of death should be certified by a licensed veterinarian.

In the event of the death of a pet, due to genetics, after ten years of birth, we will issue a credit in the amount of 70% of the original cost towards the purchase of a replacement Rescue pet of equivalent value. The cause of death should be certified by a licensed veterinarian.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Nothing delights us more than knowing we were able to bring a healthy, happy Rescue pet to you. We do seek out your help to ensure your Rescue pet remains healthy. Here are a few measures that will help:

Send us a copy of the examination (medical record) within 2 business days of receiving your pet. The examination must be performed by a licensed veterinarian. Your pet will come with up-to-date, age-appropriate vaccinations, so make sure you do not vaccinate within the first ten days of receiving your pet.

The daily healthcare and maintenance of your pet, including all the recommended immunisations and examinations.

While we de-worm and vaccinate your pet till the departure date, we’d like you to continue proper de-worming and conducting regular exams up to 16 weeks of age or more (or as recommended by the veterinarian).

EXCEPTIONS TO OUR GUARANTEE

We cannot guarantee the disposition or temperament, conformation, size, weight, colour, markings or breeding ability of your new pet.

No replacements will be given if the breeds that are known to be prone to hip dysplasia, are overweight.

Failure to provide your Rescue pet with timely inoculations or regular veterinary care will void this guarantee.

This guarantee does not cover any costs associated with spaying or neutering, including undescended testes.

We require all our Rescue pets to undergo a thorough checkup before they are shipped to you. This checkup is performed by our licensed vet who issues the Veterinary Health reports for all our Rescue pets. This report certifies the health condition for every Rescue pet against Cardiovascular, Skin, Coat, Eyes, Mouth, Teeth, Gums, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, Ears, Urogenital and Gastrointestinal diseases.

This health report will be filled out on the date of shipping the Rescue pet to you so that you are assured that the Rescue pet’s health is guaranteed. This report is then reviewed for any issues or concerns notated by our veterinarian. And if there are any serious issues with the Rescue pet then he/she will not be shipped to you. We also require you to get your Rescue pet examined by a licensed veterinarian within ten days of receiving the Rescue pet. Thanks for your cooperation.
